Police investigate Mount Waverley burglary and Clayton theft

Monash Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary at a business in Mount Waverley and a theft from a car in Clayton earlier this month.

Investigators have been told offenders used an oxy torch to remove bollards from the front of a business, then rammed the door to gain access to the building on Forster Road, Mount Waverley about 3.10am on Saturday 15 January.

The offenders stole re-conditioned vacuum cleaners from the business.

Detectives have also been told offenders stole numerous power tools from a vehicle on Haughton Road, Clayton about 7.20am on 17 February.

It is believed the two incidents are connected as the same Chrysler Voyager with stolen registration plate 1KY4LX attached.

Investigators have released CCTV and images of two people they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
