Police investigate northern suburbs shooting incident

Detectives from the Armed Crime Squad are investigating following a non-fatal shooting last night.

Paramedics attended a Meadow Heights property about 6.40pm on 27 November following reports a 20-year-old Meadow Heights man had sustained a gunshot wound to his upper body.

He was then conveyed to hospital for treatment.

Investigators believe the matter is linked to an earlier report of a firearm being discharged during an altercation between two groups on Cobb Close in Broadmeadows just after 6.30pm.

At this time the shooting is being treated as targeted, however the exact circumstances are still being determined.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or was in the area around the time and may have dash cam footage or CCTV.
