Police investigate pedestrian crash in Glenorchy

Police are investigating the circumstances of a crash in Glenorchy this morning where a pedestrian was struck by a truck.

Around 8.10am police and emergency services were called to the crash at the roundabout of Elwick Road and King George V Avenue.

The 66-year-old male pedestrian was transported by Ambulance Tasmania to the Royal Hobart Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The truck driver was not physically injured.

Initial police investigations indicate that the male pedestrian stepped off the round-about and into the path of a slow moving Isuzu Light Truck.

Police thank members of the public who have provided witness statements.
