Police investigate puppy scam

Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a number of victims have come forward regarding a puppy scam, Victoria Police say.

Investigators believe that victims have been asked to make cash deposits into a bank account for a puppy, interstate transport of the puppy, insurance and registration fees.

At the end of the payments the victims don’t receive a dog or their money back.

It’s believed there may be victims across Australia, dating back to the start of 2017.

Investigators have released images of the dogs falsely advertised.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
