Police investigate Richmond assault

Police have released images of a man they wish to speak to following an assault that took place in Richmond in May, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told a 52-year-old man had a verbal altercation with another man inside a convenience store on Swan Street just after 1am on 27 May.

Both men left the store where the altercation continued. The victim and his friend walked away north along Church Street.

The offender then pushed the victim to the ground where he hit his head and lost consciousness for a short time.

The offender and a friend left the scene, heading west on Swan Street.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

The offender is described as being aged in his late 20s, about 185cm tall, Caucasian with a muscular build and dark blonde hair.

He was wearing a black t-shirt and long pants.

Investigators have released images of the man they wish to speak to in relation to the incident.
