Police investigate robbery at CBD, South Australia

Six people have been arrested following a robbery and theft in the city last night.

Police will allege that just before 9pm on Wednesday 10 March six people entered a city servo on West Terrace and stole two baskets of food.

After leaving the store the group approached a woman riding her bike on Glover Avenue, two of the group assaulted the woman and push her off her bike before stealing her back pack. The woman received minor injuries and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

The group ran off, patrols set up cordons and called in Polair and PD Zac and his handler to assist. They got on a train at Wayville but were met by police at Woodland Park.

All six were arrested the some of the victims property was located with the group. The victims backpack and purse were found by PD Zac in an oval on West Terrace.

A 16-year old boy from Huntfield Heights and a 13- year old girl from Christie Downs have been charged with aggravated robbery and theft. They were both bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 22 April.

A 31-year-old woman and a 13 year-old girl from Christie Downs along with a 16-year-old girl from Morphett Vale and a 17-year-old boy from Meadows were charged with theft. The youths were bailed to appear in the Adelaide Youth Court on 22 April and the woman was bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on 1 June.
