Police investigate Sebastopol armed robbery

Ballarat Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an armed robbery in Sebastopol this morning (27 August), Victoria Police say.

The incident happened while the victim was waiting at a bus stop at the corner of Albert and Bala Streets about 11.10am.

The victim, an 19-year-old Sebastopol man was approached by a man who threatened him with a knife.

After taking the victim’s personal belongings, he fled on foot on Bala Street towards Yarrowee Street.

He is described as Caucasian, approximately 183cm tall with an athletic build, short cropped hear and he was wearing a black jumper and grey track pants.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
