Police investigate sexual assault atvestigation at Townsville

Townsville detectives are appealing for information after charging a man with sexual assault following an incident in Kirwan on March 27.

It will be alleged a man was working as a builder, assessing flood damage at a home when he inappropriately touched a woman without her consent.

A 46-year-old Jensen man has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.

He is due to appear in Townsville Magistrates Court on April 16.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may be aware of similar incidents in the Idalia, Rosslea, Hermit Park or Kirwan area to contact police.
