Police investigate single vehicle crash at Wollongong

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a single vehicle crash in West Wollongong earlier today.

About 12.30pm today (Friday 29 November 2019) emergency services responded to reports of a single vehicle crash on Bukari Street, West Wollongong.

Police have been told a Holden Commodore Wagon was travelling along Bukari Street when it left the road and crashed into a fence, catching alight.

The fire was extinguished and two of the passengers managed to escape the vehicle.

The third remaining passenger was freed by emergency services shortly after.

The driver of the vehicle, a 15-year-old boy, and his two underage passengers - believed to be aged 15 and 16 - sustained minor injuries and were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics.

Police inquiries are continuing and anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage is urged to contact Wollongong Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
