Police are investigating after a man was located with serious injuries in South Yarra overnight.
Emergency services were called to reports of a man with head injuries on Malvern Road about 12.20am on Sunday 9 August.
Officers were told the man was assaulted before being stabbed.
The male victim was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
Police are working to establish the circumstances of the incident.
