Police investigate stolen motor vehicle incident

Police are continuing to investigate an incident involving a stolen motor vehicle in Bridgewater today.

A stolen vehicle evaded police after they attempted to intercept it in Bridgewater about 12pm today.

Police deployed a vehicle immobilisation device, road spikes, on Cove Hill Road, Bridgewater, which was successful. The vehicle came to a stop a short time later, colliding with a building.

The occupants of the vehicle, three youths and an adult, received non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash and were taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital via Ambulance Tasmania for treatment.

No one else was injured or involved in the incident and the building was not damaged.

As is normal procedure, the circumstances surrounding the crash will be reviewed and will be subject to further investigation in relation to the stolen vehicle.
