Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating an aggravated burglary in Sunshine West last month, Victoria Police say.
It is believed two unknown males forced entry to an Arnold Street property about 9.40am on 25 July.
The males ransacked the house before leaving in what appears to be a black VW Golf or similar.
The males returned the following morning and stole a Suzuki Swift which has since been recovered.
Investigators have released images of the two males and the black vehicle in the hope that someone may recognise them.
