Fire investigators have determined a fire at an abandoned building at New Norfolk early yesterday morning (5 October) was deliberately lit.
About 1.25am, emergency services responded to reports of a fire in a vacant building at the rear of a property on Hobart Road.
Tasmania Fire Service crews extinguished the fire, and investigators have now determined it was deliberately lit.
The building has been abandoned for several years, and was destroyed by the fire.
Anyone with information in relation to the fire, or suspicious activity in the area around the time, is asked to contact Bridgewater CIB on 131 444 and quote OR818618.
