Police are appealing for information as investigations continue into a suspicious house fire in the state's north east overnight.
About 6.20pm yesterday (Sunday 21 March 2021), emergency services responded to reports of a house fire on Harris Street, Oxley Vale, near Tamworth.
The fire was extinguished by NSW Fire and Rescue, but the house suffered extensive damage.
No injuries were reported as the occupants were not home at the time.
Officers attached to Oxley Police District established a crime scene, which will be examined by specialist forensic police.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
Investigations continue.
