Police investigate Tarneit robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery which occurred in Tarneit yesterday afternoon (9 August).

Investigators have been told a 13-year-old girl was walking along Thomas Carr Drive when she was approached by three unknown male youths near the intersection of Rockbank Drive about 3.25pm

One of the youth made a demand for the teenager's phone and she refused.

A second demand was made and the victim was pushed over as one of the offenders snatched the phone.

The three offenders fled on foot along Rockbank Drive after being yelled at by a bystander.

Investigators believe there would have been a large amount of traffic on Thomas Carr Drive at the time and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have dash-camera footage to contact Crime Stoppers.

The offenders were all perceived to be African in appearance.

Two of the offenders are perceived to be in their mid to late teens, one was wearing a black beanie and another was wearing a white t-shirt with 'Supreme' logo on the front.
