Whitehorse Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a theft and subsequent deceptions in Box Hill and Ringwood last week, Victoria Police say.
Investigators have been told a vehicle which was parked on Collins street sometime between 11pm on 14 October and 5.50am on 15 October.
The victim’s purse containing several credit and debit cards was stolen.
It is believed the offenders then used the cards to make a number of purchases at stores in Box Hill and Ringwood on 15 October between 5.55am and 10.30am.
The male is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, approximately 17-21-years-old, 180cm tall with a short shaved haircut.
The female is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, approximately 16-years-old with long brown hair.
Police have released a number of images and CCTV footage of a man and woman who they believe will be able to assist with their enquiries.
