Police investigate theft of child's scooter in Pakenham

Police are investigating after a man stole a boy's scooter while he was riding it along a footpath in Pakenham on 15 April.

Investigators have been told an unknown man was driving a white Toyota ute along Fallingwaters Drive when it drove up onto the curb in the direction of the 12-year-old boy on his scooter about 4.30pm.

Police believe the man got out of his car and allegedly stole the boy's scooter before driving away with it.

The unknown man is described as Caucasian in appearance with a fair complexion and a long beard.

Police are hoping to identify the driver of the Toyota ute as they believe he may be able to assist with their investigation.
