Police Investigate Underwood Traffic Crash

Logan police are appealing for public assistance as investigations continue into a traffic crash at Underwood this morning, 16 July.

Initial investigations indicate that around 8.30am, a white Toyota Hiace van and a silver Isuzu MU-X were travelling south along Logan Road when they were involved in a minor collision.

Both vehicles stopped on Logan Road and when a passenger from the Isuzu exited the vehicle, it is alleged the Toyota mounted the kerb, struck the man, and continued driving from the scene.

The 33-year-old victim sustained a significant hip injury and was transported to hospital in a stable condition.

The Toyota driver later attended Springwood Police Station and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, or who was travelling on Logan Road near the Pacific Motorway southbound on-ramp at Underwood at the time of incident, and may have relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.

Investigations are continuing.
