Police investigate Yallambie armed robbery

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in Yallambie on Monday, Victoria Police say.

Investigators have been told two males, one of them armed with an axe, entered the Yallambie Street service station about 8.50pm on 11 June.

They confronted a female staff member and a delivery driver that was in the store.

The delivery man was pushed to the ground and his wallet and mobile phone were stolen by the man with the axe.

The other offender went behind the counter and forced the attendant to open the till, he stole a quantity of cash and cigarette lighters before they fled on foot.

The first man is perceived to be Caucasian and was wearing a black long sleeve top and pants, black balaclava and black gloves.

The second man is perceived to be Caucasian and was wearing a dark grey long sleeve jacket, dark coloured pants, grey cap with a green or grey mask and gloves.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Investigators have released images of the males they wish to speak to in relation to the armed robbery.
