Police investigating after barber stabbed - Punchbowl

A crime scene has been established after a man was stabbed in a barber shop in Punchbowl tonight.

Shortly after 6pm (Tuesday 2 March 2021), two men entered a barber's shop on Arthur Street and assaulted a 33-year-old man, believed to be the owner of the store.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for two puncture wounds to his leg and arm before being taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The two men ran from the store and were last seen heading getting into a vehicle and heading north on Arthur Street.

Officers from Campsie Police Area Command are currently on scene and have commenced an investigation.
