An investigation is underway after a man died following a stabbing in Taree this morning.
About 4.45am (Monday 6 July 2026), emergency services were called to a house on Ronald Road following reports of a stabbing.
Officers attached to Manning/Great Lakes Police District arrived to find a man had been stabbed.
The man was treated by responding police officers and NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.
While yet to be formally identified, the man is believed to be aged 36.
Crime scenes have been established on Ronald Road and are currently undergoing forensic examination.
An investigation into the incident is underway with assistance from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad, under Strike Force Hexalon.
