Police investigating after house fire at Deniliquin

An investigation is underway after a house was destroyed by fire in Deniliquin earlier today.

About 3.30am (Tuesday 20 June 2020), emergency services were called to a home on Davidson Street, Deniliquin, following reports of a fire.

On arrival, officers from Murray River Police District found the premises well alight.

The fire was extinguished by Fire & Rescue NSW and nearby properties were evacuated as a precaution.

No one was home at the time of the fire and at this stage the cause of the fire is unknown.

As investigations continue, detectives are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
