Police investigating after man stabbed - Rouse Hill 27 March

Detectives have commenced an investigation after a man was stabbed in Sydney's north west overnight.

Police have been told about 12.40am (Saturday 27 March 2021), a man heard a noise outside his home on Ponsford Avenue, Rouse Hill, and saw an unknown male sitting in his car.

He yelled out to the male, who exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot.

The man went outside and drove the vehicle to a nearby street where he located the male with two other unknown males.

When he exited the vehicle, a physical altercation occurred with the males, where the man sustained four stab wounds to his back.

The males fled the scene on foot up Mailey Circuit.

The 51-year-old man drove back to his home, where emergency services were contacted. He was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from The Hills Police Area Command established crimes scenes and detectives commenced an investigation into the incident.
