Police Investigating After Public Place Shooting, Fire - Cabramatta

An investigation is underway following a public place shooting and fire in Sydney's west.

About 12.45am today (Thursday 16 October 2025), emergency services were called to Wendy Close, Cabramatta, following reports of a fire.

Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and found a house and white Toyota station wagon both alight.

Fire and Rescue NSW officers were able to extinguish the blaze, however both the house and car sustained significant damage.

Police were told a number of gun shots were heard, with bullet casings found at the location.

A 57-year-old woman was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene for smoke inhalation. Three other occupants of the home were unharmed.

Police have declared a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Inquiries are ongoing.
