Police investigating after shots fired into a home at Nowra

Police are investigating after a public place shooting on the state's south coast overnight.

About 6.30am today (Friday 19 February 2021), officers attached to South Coast Police District were called to home on McKay Street, Nowra, following reports of shots fired.

On arrival, officers established a crime scene after locating a number of bullet holes in the front of a house.

Officers have been told the residents were inside the property when two men pulled up in a black Dodge SUV before a number of shots were fired at the home and the pair fled.

The occupants, including two adults and a child, were uninjured.

Police are looking to speak to two men they believe may be able to assist them with their inquiries. One of the men was seen at the time wearing a yellow and orange high-vis vest.

As inquiries continue, police are appealing for anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area, or who may have captured this on dashcam, to contact Nowra Police Station or Crime Stoppers.
