Police investigating after stabbing at Blacktown

Inquiries are underway after two men were stabbed in Sydney's west overnight.

About 12.15am (Saturday 28 January 2023), emergency services were called to Main Street near Flushcombe Road, Blacktown, after reports of a stabbing.

Two men – aged 48 and 34 – were located on the sidewalk suffering stab wounds, the older man to the neck and shoulder and the younger man to the back.

Both were treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital in critical but stable conditions.

A search of the surrounding area was conducted; however, no arrests were made.

Officers from Blacktown Police Area Command established a crime scene, which is being examined by specialist forensic police.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has commenced.
