Police investigating after suspicious car fire at Nowra

Police are appealing for information after a car was deliberately set alight in Nowra earlier today.

About 5am (Tuesday 1 September 2020), police were called to Douglas Street, Nowra, following reports a car was on fire.

Officers from South Coast Police District attended and established a crime scene, before commencing inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the fire.

The blaze was extinguished by NSW Fire and Rescue.

Initial inquiries suggest an accelerant may have been used.

Anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time of the fire, is urged to contact South Coast police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
