Police investigating after three children left in vehicle - Riverwood

Investigations have commenced after three children were found unattended in a vehicle at Riverwood today.

Officers from St George Police Area Command were called to a carpark on Belmore Road, Riverwood, 2.50pm (Tuesday 25 February 2020), after concerned witnesses noticed the children, a boy aged nine and twin (boys or girls?) aged four, had been left in a vehicle for some time.

Officers attended, and attempts were made to locate the parents in a nearby shopping centre without success.

While conducting inquiries at the scene the children's mother returned to the vehicle and spoke with police.

Officers removed the children from the vehicle and conveyed them to Hurstville Police Station where Family and Community Services were notified.

While no charges have been laid at this stage, inquiries continue.

The children were assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics at the scene and appear to have no injuries.
