Police investigating arson at Koah

A 43-year-old Kuranda woman has been charged following a house fire overnight in Koah.

Police will allege a house on Barron Street was deliberately set on fire shortly before 10pm last night (February 27).

No one was inside the home at the time of the fire.

A woman was located nearby a short time later and taken into custody.

She has been charged with one count of arson and due to appear before Mareeba Magistrates Court today (February 28).
