Northern Territory Police are investigating an incident that occurred this evening involving a 38-year-old male going armed in the Darwin CBD.
Police Communications received a 000 call just after 7pm with reports of a man at a shopping centre carrying two edged weapons, Northern Territory Police say.
The shopping centre was evacuated as a precaution and police attended, taking the male into custody. He was transported to hospital by ambulance and police for assessment.
