Police are investigating a deliberately lit unit fire on Weedon Avenue in South Launceston around 5.30pm last night.
The fire was extinguished prior to any structural damage occurred to the unit.
Fire and smoke damage inside the unit was mainly limited to the lounge and kitchen.
Fire Service Investigators have determined the fire was deliberately lit.
Anyone with information in relation to the fire or suspicious activity in the area around the time is asked to contact Launceston CIB on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
