Police are investigating a firearm discharged into a residence at East Devonport this morning.
Around 6am police attended a report of a firearm discharged into the front window of a residence on Torquay Road.
The occupant of the residence was inside the property at the time but was not injured.
Police believe this was a targeted incident involving people known to each other and there is no threat to the wider community.
Police are appealing to the public for any information relating to the incident or sightings of a dark blue Commodore in the area around the time. Information can be provided to police on 131 444 or through Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
