Police investigating shooting incident at Nambour

Investigations are continuing after a firearm was discharged into a residence at Nambour last night.

Police were called to a Webster Road address shortly before 11.15pm to reports a shot had been fired.

When officers arrived, they found a small calibre projectile had penetrated the front wall of the house into the loungeroom, then through another wall into the bathroom where it had shattered the shower screen.

The occupants, a 27-year-old woman and 25-year-old man, were inside at the time but were not hurt.

A crime scene was established as investigations continue.

Police are appealing for anyone in the local area who may have noticed anyone or any vehicles acting suspiciously, or who may have CCTV or dashcam vision to contact them.
