Police investigating stabbing - Granville

Police are conducting investigations into a stabbing in south-west Sydney overnight.

About 4am (Saturday 13 March 2021), emergency services were called to South Street, Granville, after reports of an assault.

A 33-year-old man was located suffering stab wounds to the head and was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Police have been told a second man, aged 28, was assaulted but did not attend hospital.

Two unknown men fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command have established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
