Police investigating suspicious house fire in Gagebrook

Police are investigating a suspicious fire in Gagebrook early this morning which completely destroyed a house on Bond Place.

Around 4:30am police on patrol observed the vacant house fully alight.

Tasmania Fire Service attended the scene and extinguished the fire. The house was completely destroyed, with damage estimated at around $250,000.

Police are investigating the fire which has been deemed suspicious.

The house had received minor non-structural damage from an arson in February 2020. That fire remains under investigation.
