Police Investigating Wounding At Fortitude Valley 31 March

Police have charged a 21-year-old man after an alleged wounding in Fortitude Valley this morning, March 31.

Police were called to Brunswick Street at approximately 3.15am to reports a verbal altercation between two men had resulted in one man allegedly stabbed with a knife.

The two men were not known to each other.

Police took a man into custody and recovered the alleged weapon nearby.

A 22-year-old man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 21-year-old Campbelltown man has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.

He was refused police bail and is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow, April 1.
