Police Investigating Wounding At Morayfield

Detectives from the Caboolture Child Protection Investigation Unit (CPIU) have charged a 17-year-old boy after an alleged wounding incident in Morayfield on April 27.

Police were called to Crichton Court around 12.15am to reports a 17-year-old boy and 18-year-old man had sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries from an edged weapon.

Investigations indicate the males were assaulted by a number of people during a physical altercation at a large party at the address.

It is believed there may be further people who were also injured during the incident.

Police conducted a search warrant on a home in Burpengary East yesterday, April 29, and arrested a 17-year-old boy.

The 17-year-old Burpengary East boy has been charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and wounding.

Police bail was refused and he is due to appear in Caboolture Childrens Court today, April 30.

Investigations are continuing.
