Police investigating wounding at Mundubbera

Detectives are appealing for the public's help after an incident at Mundubbera on Sunday night where a man was attacked.

Around 8.45pm the 18-year-old man left a Lyons Street licensed premises, continuing on Leichardt Street towards Bauer Street when he was approached by an unknown male and struck in the face.

The man was knocked to the ground in the unprovoked attack as his attacker fled on foot.

He was later treated for a large laceration to the right-hand side of his face.

His attacker is described as approximately 175cm, slightly tanned and wearing a black hoodie.
