Police investigating wounding at Petrie

Police have declared a crime scene at a Young Street address in Petrie following a wounding incident this morning.

Around 11am, police were called to reports of a man in his 20s sustained a stab wound to his back.

The man was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital from a separate Anzac Avenue address in Kallangur a short time later.

He remains in a critical but stable condition.

A 22-year-old man is currently assisting police with enquires.
