Police are investigating a wounding incident at Pimpama on the Gold Coast last night, 30 April.
Around 10.30pm, a 17-year-old boy and another male have become involved in an altercation in a narrow pathway between Gower Court and Sudbury Drive resulting in the 17-year-old boy receiving a puncture wound to his abdomen.
The male fled prior to police arrival.
The 17-year-old boy sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Police believe both males are known to each other and do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the community.
Police are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Gower Court and Sudbury Drive at Pimpama around 10.30pm last night and may have witnessed anything or have relevant CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.
