Police investigating wounding at Toowoomba City

Police are seeking witnesses and vision relating to a serious assault in Toowoomba City last night (February 16).

At around 7.20pm on Margaret St near Neil St tonight emergency services located a 18-year-old man with a wound to his chest.

Information suggests at about 7pm he was involved in an altercation at the bus interchange near Chronicle Lane and the others fled on foot toward Grand Central.

He was taken to Toowoomba Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police declared a crime scene and investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding this incident and locate the other people involved.

Investigators urge anyone involved in this incident to come forward.

Police also wish to speak to any witnesses and those with relevant dash-cam or CCTV footage.
