A Critical Incident Investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Earlwood. About 7.55am yesterday, officers from Ashfield Local Area Command executed a search warrant at a home in Earlwood. A male resident of the address was permitted to leave the scene. He was not under arrest at the time.About 1.40pm, the male was located deceased in bushland nearby. There are no suspicious circumstances. A Critical Incident Team will now investigate all circumstances surrounding the incident.
That investigation will be overseen by the Professional Standards Command.
All information will be provided to the Coroner who will determine the cause of death and make any findings about the events leading to the man’s death.
