Police lay armed robbery charge at Ipswich

Detectives from Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have charged a 36-year-old man in relation to the alleged armed robbery of an Ipswich pharmacy yesterday (November 24).

At approximately 9.40am, it will be alleged a man entered the Brisbane Street pharmacy while armed with a firearm, and demanded drugs.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

Investigations led police to locate and arrest the 36-year-old man at a Woodend address today.

He has been charged with armed robbery, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing drug utensils, and is expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow (November 26).
