Police have charged two men following a robbery in Urangan overnight.
It is alleged that at around 10:30pm, two men stopped two 16-year-old pedestrians on Boundary Road.
The men threatened the boys with a fire extinguisher and demanded they hand over several items. When they refused, it will be alleged one of the men discharged the fire extinguisher at the boys and they stole a bag.
Police located the men a short time later and arrested them.
A 27-year-old Pialba man and a 30-year-old Urangan man have both been charged with one count each of armed robbery in company.
The 30-year-old man was also charged with one count of possession of a knife in a public place and two counts of possession of dangerous drugs (methylamphetamine and cannabis). Both men will appear at Hervey Bay Magistrates Court on Monday morning, 18 August.
The two pedestrians did not sustain any physical injuries and the bag was recovered.
