Police lay armed robbery charges at Holland Park and Tarragindi

Detectives from Acacia Ridge and Upper Mount Gravatt Criminal Investigation Branches have charged a 21-year-old Inala woman in relation to two alleged armed robberies and other alleged property crime offences.

At approximately 11:20am on Friday (February 24 ) at a Seville Road business at Holland Park, a male has allegedly threatened staff with a knife and demanded money, before leaving in a Kia Sorento.

At approximately 11.35am the same day, two people have entered a Gapap Street store at Tarragindi.

There, it will be alleged a woman has threatened a staff member with a knife before stealing a quantity of cash, and leaving with a male in a Kia Sorento.

The vehicle had allegedly been stolen from a Drewvale address on the morning of February 17.

Approximately an hour later, investigations led police to locate a 21-year-old Inala woman at a Beaudesert Road licensed premises at Acacia Ridge, where she was taken into custody.

It will be alleged the stolen Kia was located in the carpark of the premises.

The 21-year-old woman has been charged with five counts of stealing, three counts each of receiving tainted property, armed robbery in company/using personal violence and unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count each of enter dwelling and commit, robbery, attempted robbery whilst armed in company and driving unlicensed.

Her bail has been refused and she is expected to appear before Richlands Magistrates Court today (February 27).

Investigations are ongoing.
