Detectives from Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 31-year-old Pallara man following an alleged armed robbery in Inala on April 13.
Around 8pm, it will be alleged a 20-year-old man was seated inside his vehicle at a carpark on Thrush Street when he was approached by a man.
The man allegedly threatened the 20-year-old man and demanded he exit his vehicle.
The 20-year-old man complied and was not physically harmed.
It will be further alleged the 31-year-old man fled the scene in the stolen Volkswagen Polo.
Following proactive patrols in the area, police quickly located the stolen Volkswagen Polo on Kraft Road, Pallara later that night.
A 13-year-old girl was allegedly seated in the passenger seat at the time of the vehicle being recovered.
She has been dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
Police located the 31-year-old man at an Inala residence shortly after 9am on April 15.
The 31-year-old Pallara man has been charged with armed robbery, enter dwelling with intent at night and unlawful entry of vehicle for committing indictable offence.
He was due to appear at the Richlands Magistrate Court on April 16.
