Police Lay Armed Robbery Charges At Rockhampton 28 May

Police have charged two people following an armed robbery at Berserker on May 24.

It will be alleged around 3.05pm, a man entered a Musgrave Street business and produced a machete, smashing two glass cabinets and threatening an employee.

The man has then allegedly stolen a quantity of cash and cigarettes from the store before leaving in a black Holden Cruze.

The employee was not physically injured.

Following investigations, a man and woman were located at a Gladstone Road address and taken into custody on May 27.

An 18-year-old Frenchville man has been charged with one count each of armed robbery and contravening an order about information necessary to access information stored electronically.

He is due to appear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court today, May 28.

A 19-year-old Frenchville woman has been charged with one count of armed robbery.

She is due to appear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on June 11.

Investigations are continuing.
