Police have charged a man following an incident in Fortitude Valley this morning, June 21.
Around 12.35am, police were called to a pub on the corner of Brunswick Street and Robertson Street, following reports of a large fight between a group of people.
It is alleged an 18-year-old man armed himself with a piece of furniture and assaulted multiple people following a verbal altercation.
A 30-year-old man was transported to the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital in a serious-but-stable condition following the assault.
Police attended the scene and took an 18-year-old Chermside West man into custody.
The man has since been charged with three counts of assaults occasioning bodily harm whilst armed/in company and one count of affray.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on July 31.
Anyone who witnessed the incident, including anyone who may have footage of the incident, is asked to contact police.
Investigations are ongoing.
