Police Lay Charges After Broadmeadows Affray

Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged several people following an affray in Broadmeadows on 26 November.

It is alleged a Kia rammed a Volkswagen multiple times before both vehicles drove on the wrong side of Pascoe Vale Road and subsequently collided with a civilian vehicle.

The victim got out of one of the vehicles and was stabbed to the upper body.

The 20-year-old Broadmeadows man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Four males were arrested and interviewed in relation to the incident at the time.

A number of warrants were executed this week.

A 24-year-old Taylors Lakes man was re-arrested on Monday and charged with multiple offences including intentionally and recklessly cause serious injury in circumstances of gross violence, affray and possess a controlled weapon.

He has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 23 February.

A 19-year-old Dallas man has been charged with multiple offences including violent disorder, theft of motor vehicle, reckless conduct endangering life and affray.

He has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court 23 February.

A 19-year-old and an 18-year-old man, both from Meadow Heights, have been charged with violent disorder, affray, theft of motor vehicle and negligently deal with proceeds of crime.

They were bailed to appear in Broadmeadows Magistrates' Court on 24 April.

A 33-year-old Meadow Heights man has been released pending summons.

A 20-year-old Broadmeadows man has been charged with violent disorder, affray and theft of motor vehicle.

He has been bailed to appear before Broadmeadows Magistrate's Court on 24 April.

A 17-year-old boy from the Hume area has been released pending summons.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection to the incident.
