Police lay charges after Carrum Downs warrants

Southern Metro Region Division 4 Response Unit detectives have arrested several people following search warrants at an address in Carrum Downs today.

Detectives located and seized what is alleged to be a commercial quantity of drugs, an imitation firearm, a large quantity of cash and three motorcycles.

Whilst processing the scene, one of the men arrived on a motorcycle and attempted to flee but was arrested nearby.

The 34-year-old Patterson Lakes man has been charged with drug offences, driving whilst disqualified and his motorcycle has been impounded for 30 days.

A 40-year-old Sandhurst man has been charged with drug offences and bailed to appear in court at a later date.

A 36-year-old Mount Evelyn man has been charged with drug offences and bailed to appear in court at a later date.

A 31-year-old Carrum Downs man has been charged with drug offences and bailed to appear in court at a later date.

A 38-year-old Sandhurst woman has been released pending further enquiries.

A 33-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman, both from Carrum Downs, remain in custody assisting police with their enquiries.
